Every successful hospitality renovation depends on more than great design. Behind every refreshed guest room, renovated meeting space, and updated amenity area is a carefully coordinated logistics strategy that helps keep projects on schedule and moving forward.

For the renovation of the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona, Pure Logistics provided the warehousing, inventory management, and delivery coordination needed to support a complex hospitality renovation project.

The Coordination Guests Never See

Hospitality renovations are often completed while balancing tight schedules, multiple stakeholders, and large volumes of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and owner-furnished contractor-installed (OFCI) materials.

To support this project, Pure Logistics managed operations across two dedicated warehouses in Arizona. One facility focused on OFCI materials, including carpet, pad, and wallcoverings, while the second warehouse managed FF&E items such as soft goods, case goods, area rugs, and lighting.

During the project, our team coordinated:

  • 282 inbound shipments

  • More than 2 million pounds of inventory

  • Over 470,000 individual inventory pieces

  • More than 300 truck deliveries supporting just-in-time installation

By maintaining visibility over materials from receipt through installation, we helped keep construction teams supplied with the products they needed while minimizing unnecessary delays.

Supporting the Guest Experience Before Guests Arrive

Guests experience the final product, but they rarely see the extensive planning and coordination that happens behind the scenes.

For the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa renovation, logistics support extended across:

  • 575 guestrooms and suites

  • Meeting rooms

  • Pre-function spaces

  • Pool deck areas

Our role was simple: ensure the right materials arrived at the right location at the right time so installation teams could focus on executing the renovation.

Through inventory tracking, coordinated delivery releases, and proactive communication, Pure Logistics provided the visibility and accountability necessary to support each phase of the project.

Why Hospitality Logistics Matters

The success of any hospitality renovation relies on more than construction schedules and design plans. Without coordinated warehousing, inventory management, and material delivery processes, projects can experience delays, material shortages, installation interruptions, and increased costs.

An experienced hospitality logistics partner helps ensure:

  • Accurate inventory visibility

  • Organized material storage

  • Coordinated project deliveries

  • Reduced installation delays

  • Improved project efficiency

As hotel renovations become increasingly complex, logistics planning plays a critical role in helping ownership groups, project managers, designers, and contractors achieve successful outcomes.
